DESCRIPTION
Nullah Ujh is one of the most prominent tributaries of Ravi flowing in Tehsil Shakargarh of District Narowal. The flood embankment along this Nullah within Pakistan is the Jalala Flood bund. Jalala Flood Bund RD 0+000 to 26+710 was constructed in the year 1982 for the protection of cultivated land and populated areas of Tehsil Shakargarh, District Narowal. In the year 1988, an unprecedented flood was experienced in the Nullah Ujh which resulted in the breach of Jalala Bund in-between Rd 14+000 to 15+000. Since last three years 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019 extensive flood-fighting is carried in-between RD 14+000 to RD 17+000 to safe the infrastructure from breach.
