Monitoring

Monitoring covers the routine, daily assessment of ongoing activities and progress. It mainly tracks the use of inputs (activities) and delivery of outputs, but to some degree also tracks (intermediate) outcomes. The monitoring processes of NDRMF are as follows:

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

NDRMF has chosen output, outcome and impact level performance indicators for the Results Framework that represent current best practices and common usage. All the Fund Implementing Partners (FIPs) must select relevant indicators from the NDRMF Results Framework to reflect it within their own project log-frames, whereas customized Indicators will also be mutually agreed.

The NDRMF has a range of output indicators along with milestones based on the current as well as future intervention areas. The NDRMF reviews progress and collects the evidence of progress against each milestone on a quarterly basis. The evidence is consolidated for the Annual Report and presented to sponsor and stakeholders, especially ADB.

Indicators Monitoring Framework

The Indicators Monitoring Framework is designed to provide the precise definition, management utility of tracking the information, unit of measure, disaggregation, data source, collection method, frequency of collection and reporting, as well as the responsible staff member to be contacted.

Field Visits

The M&E unit of NDRMF conducts regular field assessments to gather, validate and report on the results reported by grants and projects. The M&E unit collects data from FIPs on quarterly as well as annual basis.

Data Quality Assessments (DQA)

The M&E Unit of NDRMF has taken the responsibility of conducting DQAs. Data collected is verified to ensure that it is of good quality, it makes sense, it’s valid and it’s based on correct inputs. Data is verified by checking where it originated from, who was responsible for its collection and the methods and standards used to collect it.
